About Kerala Cooperative Hospital Federation (KCHF)

Kerala Cooperative Hospital Federation Limited (KCHF) is a pioneering organization established to strengthen and unify cooperative healthcare institutions across Kerala. Registered under the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act of 1969, KCHF was formed with the vision of promoting accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare through a strong cooperative network.

The foundation of KCHF dates back to 1996, during the tenure of the then Government of Kerala. Inspired by insights gained from the Asian Pacific Health Cooperative Conference held in Kathmandu, our founder chairman Late Sri. E. Narayanan, along with Sri. T. Haridas, envisioned a unified platform for cooperative hospitals. With the support of the Government of Kerala, KCHF was officially established in 1999.

From its inception, KCHF has been committed not only to healthcare delivery but also to education and capacity building. The organization began its academic journey with BSc Nursing and Physiotherapy programs under the University of Calicut. Over the years, it expanded into multiple paramedical and postgraduate programs, adapting to evolving academic and healthcare standards.

Today, KCHF operates from its own campus at Mannayad, Thalassery, offering a range of paramedical and postgraduate courses affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences. With over two decades of excellence, the institution has produced thousands of skilled healthcare professionals serving across India and internationally.

With a dedicated team of professionals and a strong cooperative foundation, KCHF continues to play a vital role in advancing healthcare education, research, and community service. The federation remains committed to its founding mission of integrating healthcare services, education, and cooperative values for the betterment of society.
