The Kerala Co-Operative Hospital Federation Ltd (KCHF) was established with a visionary mission to strengthen and unify cooperative healthcare institutions across Kerala. The idea was inspired during the Asian Pacific Health Cooperative Conference held in Kathmandu in 1996, attended by our Founder Chairman Late Sri E. Narayanan and former Managing Director Sri T. Haridas.
With the support of the Government of Kerala, KCHF was officially registered in 1999 under the Kerala Cooperative Societies Act, 1969. The primary objective was to bring together cooperative hospitals across different districts under a single, coordinated platform to enhance healthcare delivery.
In the same year, KCHF took a significant step into medical education by starting B.Sc. Nursing and Physiotherapy programs. Following the guidance of former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calicut, Dr. K.K.N. Kurup, these programs were successfully taken over and developed with proper clinical training support.
